The Criminology Department of Colegio de Kidapawan aims to develop graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to contribute to the criminal justice system and public safety.
The program prepares students to conduct criminological research on crime, its causes, victims, offenders, and deviant behavior. It also emphasizes respect for human rights and victim welfare, competence in law enforcement administration and criminal justice, and the application of forensic science in crime investigation and detection.
Furthermore, the program develops students’ understanding of criminal law, rules of evidence, and criminal procedure while promoting the welfare and reintegration of offenders into the community.
Effective oral and written communication in both English and Filipino is likewise emphasized to prepare graduates for professional practice.
Through these program outcomes, the department seeks to produce competent, ethical, and socially responsible criminology graduates ready to serve the community and uphold the principles of justice.
